The AKC standard for Yorkies is 3-7 pounds, anything smaller or larger is not within the weight guidelines of a Yorkshire Terrier. AKC has NO CATEGORY of a MINI yorkie or a TOY Yorkie. Yorkshire Terriers from 3-7 pounds are in the TOY group at Dog shows. Most of my puppies are from 3.5 to 6.5 pounds full grown. you will love them.
